Book by January 15, 2022 using CIELOTHIRTY to receive the 30% discount.

This discount code is good for stays between January 7, 2022 and April 30, 2022, and all nights will receive a straight 30% discount.

This code can NOT be used for the Rainforest Sanctuary Buyout Package. Please write to info@cielolodge.com if you would like to book a Buyout instead of individual suites.

With this discount code, the minimum age for all guests is 10 years old.

ALL rates include: 3 locally-sourced, seasonal, superlative meals a day, snacks, transportation to and from Golfito Airport, and many of the activities that are listed on the Activities page.

Costa Rica’s Travel Requirements

Before you book:

Costa Rica has a few requirements before you can visit, and the most up to date list can be found on the Costa Rica Tourism Board’s website . As of this writing:

1. Complete the digital form called HEALTH PASS, which is available at: https://salud.go.cr

   The Health Pass can only be completed 48 hours before boarding. It must be accessed in updated browsers or Internet Explorer. The form must be completed by each person, including minors, without exception.

2. Bring you card that shows you have been fully vaccinated

3. If you are returning to the US, you will need a negative PCR test, conducted within 72 hours of your return. We can help arrange for this test within Costa Rica. Or, you can purchase an at-home rapid test BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE US and bring it with you. Called BinaxNOW, it is made by Abbott and can be purchased from this website - https://www.emed.com/ . Make sure you purchase the BinaxNOW HOME test, and not the “self” test. While at the Lodge, you would schedule a 30 minute tele-health appointment through the eMed website, and the results would then be sent to the Navica App, which you would load onto your phone.

4. Ignore all of the following if you ARE FULLY VACCINATED. If you are NOT fully vaccinated, you will:

   • Need to have insurance that covers either $20,000 USD of medical expenses for Covid-19, if bought through a Costa Rican Insurance company, or $50,000 if bought through an international insurance company.

   • The insurance policy must include minimum coverage of USD $2,000 for lodging expenses, in case you need to quarantine in Costa Rica.

   • If you are over 70 years of age, you will need to purchase a special insurance policy, from one of the 3 companies below. Make sure you purchase the right type of insurance for your age.

   • Right now, the following insurance companies meet the requirements listed above: Sagicor - https://tiendasagicor.com/en , INS - https://www.grupoins.com/seguroparaviajeros, and Trawick. Trawick is an international insurance, covers the quarantine lodging requirement, and may have the best prices. Based on Sagicor’s website, the cost for this insurance is about $10 a day, per person. But definitely check the Trawick website before making your purchase.
